08.03.24

On International Women’s Day, Seingim organized a self-defense course for all its 130 women, as a concrete gesture to give them simple and practical tools to defend themselves in case of danger.

In order to send a concrete message and support all Italian women who are victims of violence today, the company donated a contribution to the association D.I.RE (Women in Network Against Violence).

D.I.RE involves 87 organizations in Italy, which manage 106 anti-violence centers and more than 60 shelters, listening to around 21 thousand women every year.

The National Association bases its work on the experience of local realities and has the aim of building a national political action that knows how to promote the fundamental cultural change for the contrast and overcoming of male violence against women.

The actions of D.i.Re are aimed at making visible the phenomenon of male violence against women, changing the perception of its entity and gravity in society to place it among crimes against humanity, through:

  • actions for the visibility of the methodology and activity of the anti-violence centers present on the national territory,
  • initiatives to spread awareness of the phenomenon of violence,
  • research projects, with a view to reflecting on experiences and continuous and widespread training for the Centers and for the territory.

Seingim’s Chairman, Fabio Marabese, stated:

“We recognize the crucial role that women play in society and also their fundamental contribution to the success of the company. Seingim’s team consists of more than 490 colleagues, more than 30 percent of whom are women. For us as a company, supporting the D.I.RE association, which is dedicated to helping women in need, is a sign of our commitment to making a concrete contribution to the development of a better future”.

D.I.RE Association stated:

“We thank Seingim and its Chairman Fabio Marabese for supporting our initiatives”.
