The MOSE system, consists of a mobile gates system, anchored to the seabed, that could temporarily separate the lagoon from the sea, in case of high tide. The system is positioned at the three inlets of Lido, Malamocco and Chioggia. The purpose of MOSE is to preserve the priceless historical, artistic and cultural heritage present in Venice, constantly threaten by high tides, wich have created extensive damages to the entire city.
SEINGIM is engaged in the design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) for buildings located at the inlets.
The premises, subject to intervention, are three galleries that connect the two banks, located at a depth of 12,70m., below the seabed, near the hinges that hold the movable panels anchored to the seabed.
“For us it’s a great source of pride to participate in the realization of a work as complex as fundamental for the preservation of our lagoon, of our territory. The MOSE is the future of Venice, and we at SEINGIM could be pride to have contributed to building a better future for the entire Venetian lagoon”.
